Categories
Nature/Pictorial (Handbook, Definition of Terms, page 11)
Nature: An image of any natural subject matter that does not
show the “hand of man”.
Pictorial: an image in which the subject is shown in a broad view
such as landscape, seascape, city-scape, etc. This general category
includes any type of subject.
o Base/Theme
Each competition will be a two-part division, base and theme. The
theme can work with the base or independent of the base.
Base: Either to be Nature or Pictorial as stated in each month’s
competition.
Theme: A selected subject to be worked on for each month’s
competition.
Entry Listings
All media categories (prints, slides or digital) will compete against
each other regardless of whether they have been manipulated.
First, second and third place will be awarded in the base and theme
category.
Prints/Digital Prints: Prints from film and/or digital. They can
be manipulated in any way.
Slides/Digital Projection: Any image that will be projected via
slide projector or digital projector.
Number of Entries
You may submit a total of 3 entries each month.
There are two distinct categories (theme/base). You may enter
only 2 images in one category.
One entry should be entered in the theme division. Although this
is not mandatory, it is preferred.
Entry Identification
Titles, maker’s name and category are mandatory for all entries.
On the back of negative and digital prints; in the upper left corner
print legibly your name and title of entry. (Handbook, Intra-Club
competition, page 8.)
On the front of slides; print legibly your name, etc. (Handbook,
Slide Identification, pages 12 & 13.)

Current Work
Required and must be taken within 2 years, unless otherwise stated
(Handbook, page 8, Entries, A).
An image may be entered only once, unless altered for
improvement. (Handbook, page 8, Entries, B)
Entry Size
Prints: Minimum print size: 8x10; maximum size, 16x20. No
framed entries are accepted.
